The game features an original plot in which the heroes of the Marvel Universe must join forces to defeat Doctor Doom and his Masters of Evil and foil their plans for global domination. A re-release version based on Xbox 360's latest edition was developed by Zoë Mode for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and was released in July 2016. A different Game Boy Advance version was developed by Barking Lizards Technologies.
